Joshua Symonette is and has always been an encourager of people. A logical path following his football career in the National Football League (with the Washington Commanders, Miami Dolphins, and NFL Europe) could have been coaching football. Instead he has spent the last 17 years coaching, developing, and speaking on matters of life, spirituality, and talent development. Identifying and activating potential is what he enjoys most.
Known as an engaging and authentic communicator, Joshua has partnered with non-profit, government, and private organizations like the Federal Drug Administration, Chick-fil-a, the National Football League, as well as local public and private schools. He is also a leadership coach with the 4Sight Group. In addition to speaking and coaching regularly, Joshua is currently a teaching pastor at National Community Church in Washington, DC and recently launched Hope Baltimore in 2021, a cross-cultural church plant in Baltimore City.
Joshua has a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a concentration in English-Journalism from Tennessee Technological University and a Master of Arts in Practical Theology from Regent University. He also is a licensed Myers-Briggs Type Indicator practitioner. He and his wife Ericka live in Baltimore, Maryland with their four children.
